Bulging Truth

Do not allow a man to enter through

Your private door, not even if you know

Him well as Christ friend Peter knew.  Christ knew

Him well, though not quite well enough to know

That he alone would swear he did not

Know Jesus.  That of course was true.  That truth

Explains denials.  Ignorance makes fraught

Mistakes.  A follower, a certain youth,

Knew Jesus better.  This disciple held

Him closer to his heart and stood nearby,

Nearby the cross and Christ.  John tried to meld

With Jesus in his torture held up high.

  Do not choose Peters.  Choose your lovers well.

    Let truer love and lovers near you swell.
