Certitude in Stony Sockets
Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem
The Greek and Roman statues, not the late
Ones, stare so certain first because the truth
Fills up their marble and their bronze. They hate
Decay in drooping later stuff. Yes, youth
Looms also part of certitude like theirs,
Not always, though. Poseidon, brothers Zeus
And Hades, hold true power, not needing heirs.
Their sexualities are always loose.
They grasp whatever in their clutches, rape
(Ignoring wives), but then of course these gals
Were sisters also. There is no escape
From incest with these guys. They ram grabbed pals.
Gods ravish younger women, nymphs and girls.
This white-eyed squad loves ramming pubic curls.
