♫ Bobolink – song / call / voice / sound.

I bet I know what you were thinking when

You read that title:  shots heard round the world

And all that patriotic stuff, but men

With guns on bridges never really swirled

Around inside her brain of poems.  She

Instead preferred the bobolink, but still

The subjects are not separate.  Birds are free

Already and the bobolink will trill

Its message, “Fight against authority.

Stand tall, though small, and force your will upon

The field of conflict.  Your priority

Must be your strength, your little strength drawn on.”

Sing out your joy with playfulness despite

The Presbyters.  Make groaning hymns take flight.
