Zeno and John the Lover and Revelator
Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

The soul is body, yet the body soul.
Thus taught true Zeno. True Apostle John
Taught much the same. Two teachers on the whole
Concurred. The Deity is Logos. Gone
Are false distinctions. Spirit is the pure
Truth, body and the soul complete as One
(As paradox exists). No other cure
Is offered. This is like a spirit sun:
Both physical and spiritual combined
Or more than that . . . a perfect unity,
So much the utterness it holds enshrined
In it a doctrine like the Trinity.
The word and thought and matter always wait
Unchallenged there expressed in one huge weight.
