Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem

America’s and Western World delights

Include the rising cost of funerals.  Death

Itself does not exclude the rising blights

Of business.  Firms would charge you for your breath

If they could get away with it.  That tRUMP

Would contract out the oxygen you need

If he could make a profit from it, chump,

Corruption Chump he is.  His endless greed

Would sell the Constitution for a mess

Of pottage if the pottage came to him

Alone and if his governance could press

It into White House fireplace trim.

Cupidity all round him and inside

Him lurks near visible beneath his hide.
