“One Glimpse of Celestial Is-ness”*
I AM THAT I AM
Modern poetry modern verse contemporary poetry contemporary verse modern poem contemporary poem
The awkward turning from the ancient Greek
Might trouble Aristotle since he cared
About the literary, such as bleak
Uplifting tragedy of people snared
By God or Fate, so brooch pins used to stab
Out jelly from the eyes. Since blind, they did
Not see the truth and thus the blood-gush jab
To punish, gory goo and red down lid
To cheek, because the human fails to see
The mystery of Godly thought. Gouged eyes
