To Theorize or Not to Theorize about Yesthetics

Most Joes and Judies walk through days and nights

Without one thought of artistry.  And why

Not?  Poets and the artists have their flights

Of fantasy.  Most folks don’t even try

And just get on with life.  They want a plate

Hand painted with authority.  They pay

Because they trust their eyes.  They need not say

How it became so strictly right.  They know

That others train their brains to perfect style.

Because of them the plates and beauty glow.

Esthetics are what make the plates beguile.

  Yes, that’s enough.  A Shakespeare writes his plays.

    The rest of us are zonked that they amaze.
