The tastes of snooty people change, but not
The tastes of normal folks. They know the sort
Of newer poetry is really snot
And that is why they turn away and snort
At stupid stuff like abstract art, like Klee
And Jackson Pollock. Yes, his stuff is like

Pollock making a mess; photo by Hans Namuth
The cum shots from a mind or more like pee
Sprayed over canvas. Normal eyes shout, “Yike!”
And turn to view some art, some normal art,
Some beauty with no alcoholic “thought”
Behind it, something far less like a fart
In poseur picture frame or spewed out clot.
We’re far enough away from that in time
That we can call artistic crime a crime.
