Lift up your mind. Lift up its present, past—
And springtime promises, the future. Flowers

Within your mind contain a power too vast
To be defeated. Mountains have their powers.
Unlike one little lily they endure.
They last and last. Yet even they will die.
Your present mind will die. But use its pure
And sovereign majesty to help you spy
A way to use your destiny to scrape
The cosmos with your strength. Light up a flame,

Whatever tiny lamp, to find the shape
You want. Defy mere fate and make it tame.
An Everest will arise in you. Its rock
Is you. Your soul will serve to fight off shock.
