Poetic as millefeuille the sonnet tastes.

The pastry is poetic as the flakes

Instilled with pastry cream.  Our tonguing hastes

Perfection’s death and so perfection’s cakes

Are brief as sonnets.  Thousands of the leaves

Are disappeared much faster than a tree

In autumn sheds its foliage on eaves.

Millefeuille is far too swift, its oui too wee.

Some people like it with white icing, sweet,

    Degrading understated subtle treat.
